Kayak Paddle Excursions FAQs

WHAT SHOULD I DO AFTER REGISTERING FOR MY KAYAKING EXPERIENCE?

Be sure to check your email the day before. We will send you a confirmation email outlining general information about your experience. We will also email you if weather makes it necessary to postpone the experience.

It is also important to let us know if you will have any children between the ages of 8 and 12 so we can arrange a tandem boat for you.

WHEN DO I NEED TO ARRIVE?

We recommend that you arrive 15 minutes early to complete the check -in process so we can get you on the water quickly.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

For days that are warm or hot, we recommend a t-shirt, windbreaker if needed, and shorts. For cooler days, we suggest layering with long pants, t-shirt, a windbreaker or if needed, heavier jacket.

We suggest wearing closed sneakers or athletic shoes and many people find a hat and/or sunglasses cut down glare on sunny days.

It is important to remember that you will be on the water and  you may get a little wet. We always suggest bringing a few dry towels or extra clothes in case this happens.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Please bring your waivers if you have filled them out in advance. You may download the RIVERSPORT and USA Canoe/Kayak waivers here. If you do not fill out the waivers in advance, please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to complete the waivers onsite.

We also recommend sunscreen to help protect against sunburn. If your experience is during the evening, bug spray will help keep insects away. You might also want to consider bringing bottled water, a snack, towels, sunglasses, a hat, and extra clothes.

WHERE DO I PARK?

Onsite parking is available at both locations. If your experience is at the Boathouse District, please keep in mind that parking may be limited at times due to events and other programs. Allow yourself a few minutes to park and walk. Designated parking areas are available on both the east and west sides of Lincoln Blvd.

WHAT IF I CANNOT MAKE MY KAYAKING EXPERIENCE?

If you are unable to make the outing you signed up for, please notify us by email in advance. We will work to reschedule your experience or further discuss your options if you choose to cancel.
