Admiral’s Club

The Devon Boathouse is recognized as one of the finest boathouses in the world and is a focal point for Olympic hopefuls training with the OKC National High Performance Center. We invite you to become a part of these historic initiatives that will have international significance for Oklahoma City and OCU, and will help change lives – whether helping make a college education possible to a young athlete, assisting in the continued development of a tradition of excellence on the water, or supporting a quest to achieve the Olympic dream.

The Admiral’s Club offers unique and timely opportunities to become a partner in these initiatives through naming opportunities to special features of the Devon Boathouse, boats, scholarships, and/or recognition on the 10th Anniversary Donor Wall.

Oklahoma City University brought intercollegiate rowing to central Oklahoma and continues to help athletes striving for elite level competition in both sweep rowing and sculling – and now canoe/kayak. Today, our affiliation with the OKC National High Performance Center is bringing our student athletes even closer to their Olympic dreams.

As our program and winning tradition continues to grow and new opportunities emerge to connect OCU to the Olympic Movement, so does our need to raise funds to help continue our momentum. As a member of the Admiral’s Club, your contributions will help us build a fleet of boats, facilities, and scholarships that our crews needs to continue to be successful. The Admiral’s Club is named in honor of Admiral Ray Ackerman, OCU Trustee and Oklahoma River visionary. Admiral Ackerman helped guide the launch of OCU Rowing as a club sport in 2000, and later its elevation to a varsity sport in 2003.

Be part of an exciting historic milestone!

Donors contributing $1,000 or more will have their names placed on the 10th Anniversary Donor wall in the Devon Boathouse, home of OCU Rowing. And, donors have the opportunity to purchase naming rights for the Devon Boathouse boat bays, racing shells, and many other special features.

Your contribution to this historic project will leave a legacy for you, your family, or your company within one of the greatest boathouses in the world.

Sponsorship benefits associated with OCU’s Head of the Oklahoma, Oklahoma’s premier fall regatta, are included at select Admiral’s Crew donor levels along with complimentary tickets to the blu Lounge. Rights to utilize the Devon Boathouse for your special events or business meetings are included with naming packages.

To learn more about these opportunities or to make a contribution, email Mike Knopp.
