The marathon race of the 2014 ICF Canoe Marathon World and Pan Am Championships will take place on the Oklahoma River. The start, finish line, and the portage will be located in the same area. A 120 metre portage is placed on the bank of the river near the finish line. The portage areas are clearly shown by guide ropes and marked with red and yellow marks at the disembarkation and embarkation places. The disembarkation and the embarkation will be on pontoons. The portage will allow at least four K2’s to be portaged simultaneously.

Additional Race Opportunity
Athletes will have the opportunity to participate in the Oklahoma Regatta Festival which will include 4K distance race and 500m night sprints under the permanent lights on the Oklahoma River, October 4-5, 2014. Details regarding entries coming soon.
