Paddle for the Cure Race
Paddle for the Cure is a friendly dragon boat competition benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure Central and Western Oklahoma Affiliate. Held during the OGE NightSprints during the SandRidge Energy Stars & Stripes River Festival on June 27, Paddle for the Cure has welcomed more than 300 athletes at each race. The fall Paddle for the Cure race will take place during the Oklahoma Regatta Festival on October 1.
The competition will feature teams of 20 paddlers and one drummer racing down the Oklahoma River. Each team will get one, 60-minute practice session before racing under the lights at the OGE NightSprints. Teams are encouraged to register early to guarantee availability of their practice session.
Every participant will receive a free t-shirt! Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers. Cost is $650 per 20-person team. Online registration is now open using the link above. If you would like to register your team and pay with a check please contact Mia Overton at email@example.com.
