Two OKC Thunder players visited the Oklahoma City Boathouse District on March 14. OKC RIVERSPORT Chesapeake Junior Crew raced in four events and won a national championship at the USRowing Youth National Championship, June 13-15 at Lake Natoma, California. OKC raced in the women’s lightweight four, the women’s eight, the men’s eight and the men’s lightweight eight. All events were contested on a 2,000-meter race course, which is the Olympic sprint distance for the sport of rowing.
Champions were named and a world record was set at the 2014 RIVERSPORT Indoor Championships, Feb. 22 at the Cox Convention Center in downtown OKC.
