USRowing National High Performance Center

Coach Dampeer has coached various U.S. National Team athletes since the 2010 U23 World Championships, including two Pan American Games, five World Cups, and the 2016 Final Olympic Qualification Regatta. Dampeer has come to Oklahoma from Washington, DC, where she was the Head Coach of the Potomac Boat Club Open Sculling Program for six years. During this time, she also coached many athletes to the podium at National Championships, National Selection Regattas and other international events like Henley Royal Regatta and the Australian National Championships. Before becoming Head Coach, she was the Assist Coach to Matt Madigan for two years. As an athlete, Dampeer was a member of the Potomac Boat Club Open Sculling Program for two years, during which time she represented the U.S. at the Pan American Games in 2007 in the Women’s Single and Quadruple Sculls, taking silver in the Quad.  She also trained for three years at the Pocock Rowing Center, and before that the Marin Rowing Association and San Diego Rowing Club.

Coach Dampeer is currently completing an 18-month U.S. Olympic Committee National Team Coach Leadership and Education Program. The emphasis of this program is to develop leadership skills in National Team coaches which, in turn, will help enhance the performance of National Team athletes and lead to sustained international competitive excellence. Dampeer will use her expertise in training program development and execution, technical coaching and innovation in integrating emerging science at the USRowing National High Performance Center.

Dampeer grew up in Sherborn, MA and graduated from Santa Clara University in 2000 with a BA in Philosophy.
