U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Site
The Oklahoma River is the only river to be named a U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Site. The designation as a training site for both rowing and canoe/kayak was made in 2009 when leaders from United States Olympic Committee traveled to Oklahoma City for a ceremony on the banks of the river. Today, you’ll find Olympic hopefuls in rowing and canoe/kayak training at the Oklahoma River. Visit okc-nhpc.org to learn more about our Olympic training initiatives and the OKC National High Performance Center.
